Tweed COVID-19 - December 22nd

The Municipality of Tweed Emergency Control Group met today and have decided that in order to ensure the safety of our staff, residents and visitors that the following measures will take place effective December 23, 2021 until further notice:

Administrative Office will be closed to the public. Staff will be available to answer the phone and e-mail during regular business hours.  For those requiring in person services, please ring the doorbell at our front door and one of our staff will aide you at the door. During the closure any payments or correspondence may be done by using the drop box at the front door, by mail, email or via electronic payment through your financial institution.

Public Works Department staff duties will be limited to winter maintenance only. Please call the administrative office during regular business hours 613-478-2535 if there are any emergency matters. Note:  Any emergency matters requiring police, fire or medical assistance, call 911.

Waste Disposal Site will remain open. Masks must be worn by all public and staff. There will be a maximum of 2 vehicles at the recycling depot at all times, and physical distancing must be maintained in all areas.

Tweed Community Centre (Arena) will be closed until further notice. 

Tweed Fire Department will only be responding to 911 calls.

Tweed Public Library will offer curb side pickup and will provide curb side service.  Please call during regular library hours 613-478-1066 for additional details.

The health and safety of our staff, residents, and visitors remain our number one priority.  The emergency control group will meet again on January 4, 2022 to re-evaluate based on information from Public Health.
