Flood Recovery ODRAP Community Meeting May 8, 2014

The Municipality of Tweed will be holding a Community Meeting on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Tweed Elementary School Gym at 52 McClellan St. in Tweed for a presentation of the Ontario Disaster Relief Assistance Program as it relates to the 2014 Flood.

Notices of the Community Meeting and the Private Property Damage Assessment are also being mailed directly to property owners identified through emergency management meetings during the flooding.

Click here for the Private Property Damage Assessment form which needs to be completed in its entirety.  This form should be submitted to the Municipality of Tweed by mail, fax, scan & email, or bring the completed form to the Community Meeting.  The correct mailing address, fax number, and email address are provided directly on the form.

We also want to remind residents that as the flood waters recede it is important to restore your home to good order as soon as possible to protect your health and prevent further damage to your house and belongings.

In order to assist you please read the information in the Flood Recovery Package.  It includes a homeowner`s checklist for after the flood, information on private septic systems flooding, information on drinking water affected by flooding, and a disinfection instruction sheet.

Copies of all these items are also available for pick up at the Municipal Office during regular business hours.
