Welcome to the Municipality of Tweed!
The Municipality of Tweed emergency control group continues to meet and is shifting into a recovery phase. There are several volunteer organizations that will be in the area next week to assist the most vulnerable – the uninsured, under insured, elderly, and those with accessibility needs. These organizations will be able to assist with some repairs and property clean up. To request support, residents can email request_assistance@teamrubicon.ca
The reception centre will be open tomorrow at the Tweed Arena at 297 St. Joseph Street from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm, and then will be closed. Bottled water will still be available at the municipal office during business hours. The water tap at the arena will also be available over the weekend.
Byers Enterprises will accept any brush and trees for disposal for $60/tonne. They are located at 67 Hawkins Bay Road.
